Top five airlines recognized for safety this pandemic

Philippine Airlines has taken the 9th spot in the list of top 10 airlines with the highest safety credentials for travel during COVID-19. This is an honor for the country’s flag carrier which was one of more than 150 airlines audited on its Covid-19 safety credentials by Safe Travel Barometer, an independent subsidiary of travel industry advisory and consulting firm VIDEC. PAL secured a 4.2 rating out of 5.0, the highest score. In this article, we’ll be listing down our list of the top five airlines recognized for safety this pandemic.

According to Safe Travel Chief Executive Virendra Jain, the fundamental premise of Safe Travel Score is to benchmark travel brands’ initiatives to reduce traveller anxiety.

The flag carrier’s safe travel score tied with China Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, AirAsia and Emirates. The rating system scored each stage of a traveller’s journey – pre-flight, the actual flight and post flight. Meanwhile, here are the top five airlines which has been recognised for having the highest safety credentials for travel during the pandemic.
