Top five reasons why you should get a PS5

Do you know that sales of gadgets, specifically mobile phones are still on the rise? Many have come to depend on the mobile phone for many things other than communication- and has now become a hub for entertainment and gaming. So where does that leave the makers of gaming consoles like the Sony Playstation, which is launching the PS5? Well, the avid gamers I spoke to said that while they depend on their phones for playing games when they’re on the go, they are still looking forward to owning a PS5 for these Top Five reasons:

1. Backwards compatibility- One of the biggest selling points of owning a PS5 is that you can play your old PS CDs using it. Imagine those PS1 games that have been gathering dust all these years. If you’re lucky enough to have saved these CDs instead of selling or donating them before, then prepare to get nostalgic.
2. Exclusive content- There are games that are exclusive only to the PS5. For its predecessor, the PS4, there’s Street Fighter 5, The Last of Us Remastered and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, among others. For the PS5, titles to watch out for are Marvel’s Spiderman: Miles Morales, the new God of War, Gran Turismo 7 and Final Fantasy 16. So if you happen to be fans of the first instalment of these titles, then no way but to go forward.
3. Better video resolution and graphics- Getting that awesome gaming experience is only possible when you get high quality visuals that shout color, edge and vibrancy. This is due to Ray Tracing
4. Model Option- The PS5 comes in two models. One with a disc tray which gives you the option to use your old CD games along with those that you can download from the web (for a fee, of course). And the one which only plays games bought online. The one with the disc tray, however, is expectedly more expensive.
5. Bragging rights- Much like when you look forward to the launch of the new iPhone, owning a new console like the PS5 is, indeed, worth boasting about. That’s because it gives you first dibs into what many say is the future of gaming. Also, owning a new PS, which only comes out every 6 to 7 years, will make you feel legendary in your own way.
